This poem titled Baseball Bruises and Burning Buildings was sent in by Carlea Baughn, a young femme slam poet from WA. In this poem she describes the fearful experience rejecting someone's advances can lead to. (All words and images are by Carlea) TRIGGER WARNING: violence, sexual assault, victim blaming.

"I wish I could eat the whole world up" Nectar, sent to us by Sage Lundquist, which is one of her index card poems; a series of poems and illustrations on cards that can easily be traded, gifted, or left in public for passerby to find. (Which is one of the coolest ideas of all time and now I want to find an index card poem sitting around somewhere in public!)

"I am everything they are afraid to see." A collection of unpublished works submitted to us by Carlina Hirsch for our October theme. They speak of innate human desire and the hidden capacity we have as people to orchestrate our lives toward darker inclinations.
