He Looks Blue

What irony it is - that the words your mother said to me were - he looks blue. The same color of the pill I found in your pocket. Yet all eyes fall to me, questioning whether I'm doing my duty. That's the way it goes, you self destruct while I keep fielding blows. The door clicks shut and you let the magma flow - hot from your lips it spills into my abyss. As it cools I am surrounded by an expanse of volcanic glass. I sit - visions blurred by obsidian - wondering when the next eruption will begin.
